Dr. Alan LaPratt has a unique style of patient care that encourages excitement in children about their own oral health. After graduating with his doctorate degree from the UNLV School of Dental Medicine in 2011, he practiced general dentistry in Texas for six years. Throughout his time as a general dentist, he saw many children who struggled with fear and discomfort around their dental care and wondered what he could do to improve their experiences. After careful consideration, and many discussions with his wife, they made the joint decision to move their family to NYC so Dr. LaPratt could go back to school and specialize in pediatrics. He completed his training at BronxCare Health Systems in 2019 and achieved board certification shortly thereafter.

Dr. LaPratt regularly takes continuing education courses that keep him current with the latest techniques and advancements in pediatric dental care so he can continue to give his patients the best experience possible. He is active in community service throughout York County and also oversees the dental health of soldiers in the Army National Guard, where he has been serving since 2008.

Dr. LaPratt met his wife, Sheena, in Las Vegas, NV, where they tied the knot in 2005. Both being raised in Las Vegas, they decided to branch out and explore the rest of the country. Several cross country moves later, they paused their journey in York, PA where they are currently raising their five children. In his spare time, Dr. LaPratt likes to run marathons, play board games, read history books, build Legos (especially Star Wars), and catch Pokémon.
